Can a dog sense a ghost?

there is no hard evidence that dog can protect people from ghost or other ghastly being.<br>however in many culture dog is said able to see spirit's. (actually it's in my country if dog's barking or howl in the middle of night they say spirit is near you)<br><br>and in may folklore dog have many different role such as = the carrier of the dead (mesoamerican folklore), guide of the dead (metropolis of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teotihuacan" title="Teotihuacan">Teotihuacan</a>), guide of spirit to the afterlife (maya).<br><br>that's some of the dogs believe there's to many believe in dogs regarding their role with spirit realms. and im too lazy to write it all :p~

There are split opinions about this - The ones who don't believe in ghosts, and those who do.

Those who do say that they can, because of their enhanced senses.

Those who don't, say that dogs cannot form believes about things and thus cannot believe they see ghosts.
