Can an eleven year old get a job in a stable and where?

Very little - unless you're part of a group such as scouts ! For legal reasons - it's virtually impossible for any business to get insurance to cover a child of your age, in the event of an accident.

Generally a stable hand position is given to an individual of a minimum of 16 years old. This is normally because size and strength are two very imporatant factors when working with horses. Although there are some exceptions and i have seen younger children working and helping out in stables. My advice to you would be to take lessons with a qualified trainer (if your not doing so already) who runs a medium to large scale barn. This way you can voulenteer during summer doing odd jobs around your stable and learn from a professional by being under supervison. Once you have experience and knowledge you may be offered a paying position. In British Columbia i believe you must be a minimun of 18 years old if you are handling stallions at any breeding facility. Good Luck :)

you can not work at a buisness but you can work as a dog walker or dog sitter. i think you have to be like 15 to work at like a grocery store or something.

sell lemonade or cookies if you do not mind not getting paid make things for nursing homes like blankets,cookies,gloves,mittens.ect.
