Can being around a person who owns a cat affect your allergies?

Sort of. There's something called allergen immunotherapy that gradually gets your immune system "used to" the allergy proteins produced by ... well, any source, really. It's a long process that's almost never covered by insurance, so unless you really REALLY want a cat, and one of the hypoallergenic varieties won't do, and you've got money to burn, you might be better off just not having a cat.

Well if your not at first and then you experience these symptoms:itchy nose, stuffed nose, eyes watering, sneezing a lot, and explosive diarrhea When your near your cat then ya, you do.

Very likely, especially if the person is covered in cat dander, and even more likely if you have an extreme sensitivity to cat dander.

Depends on the severity of your Allergies. Some people will be able to, or at least get by reasonably well with an over-the counter antihistemine (like Benadryl) but some people will not.
