My sister has 4 female cats - 2 prefer the litter box which is next to the toilet and the other 2 prefer the toilet. She didn't do anything other than leave the seat up all the time as was her habit, and was pretty surprised when she figured out what was going on (she's the only human in the house, and was pretty sure she was flushing consistently) :-D.
Also, my cousin's cat started using the toilet when the basement door leading to her litter box was accidentally left closed for a prolonged period of time.
So, I don't know how to train them to use the toilet, but I think it's possible. Don't know if it's significant that these are all females, and surprisingly, all 3 of the cats with toilet preferences were over age 9 when they started!
cats can't be "toilet trained" but they can be litter trained.
Yes they can, by stopping the toilet water and putting litter in the toilet.
you are wrong. cats can be trained to use the toilet. it takes about 2 weekz of trainig
To effectively toilet train your cats, you can use a gradual training method with a special litter box that fits over the toilet. Start by placing the litter box next to the toilet and gradually raising it to the level of the toilet seat. Once your cats are comfortable using the litter box on the toilet, you can remove the box and encourage them to use the toilet directly. Be patient and consistent with the training process to help your cats successfully transition to using the toilet.
No.
yes some cats can do gymnastics if trained
Yes, toilet water can be harmful to cats as it may contain harmful chemicals or bacteria. It is best to avoid allowing cats to drink from the toilet to prevent potential health risks.
yes....as long you are poty trained
yes....as long you are poty trained
yes that is bad for example i was "toilet trained" at three years old.
Potty training cats to use the toilet instead of a litter box can be a challenging process. It requires patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. You can start by gradually transitioning your cats to a special toilet training kit designed for cats. This kit typically includes a series of trays that fit over the toilet seat, gradually reducing the amount of litter used. You can also use treats and praise to reward your cats for using the toilet. It's important to monitor your cats' progress and be prepared for setbacks. With time and dedication, your cats can learn to use the toilet successfully.
The cat toilet training system can be effective for teaching some cats to use the toilet, but success may vary depending on the individual cat's temperament and willingness to learn.
Cats are more naturally inclined to use the bathroom outdoors, but will try to find areas that feel like litter such as soft dirt, sand or small gravel. Cats that are trained to use the litter box will still go outside.
