Yes, they can be trained just as any dog can be house-trained. Potty training if handled properly should go fine, if you're having problems, there are lots of books regarding that issue. Plus plenty of aids to help at all levels. They are intelligent, curious, and eager to please. You may require extra patient with them. But only due to their desire to investigate everything and everywhere. You will need to work at keeping their focus, and teaching them what are toys and what are not. That nose may get them into trouble, if they are not trained and execrised. Leaving them alone, and confined in small spaces for long periods isn't what they are bred for, and will only tempt, acting out / bad behavior! They are great dogs and love to play, run, and explore. Give them plenty of that, and you will have to run that dog off the bed at night!
