they eat ginea-pig mix (buy from major brands so you no it is reliable!) and lots of vegetables. DO NOT FEED THEM HAMSTER FOOD OR OTHER MIXES MADE FOR DIFFERENT ANIMALS! THEY DO NOT HAVE THE NUTRITION THAT GUINEAS NEED!

Baby guinea pigs drink milk from their mother when they are newborns and do this for up to about six or seven weeks. The average guinea pig likes to be kept in a clean hutch with at least one other guinea pig to keep it company but usually this age of guinea pigs prefer water to milk because the milk may spill and then would make the animal smell very unpleasant which would annoy the animal and yourself. In conclusion, do not feed the animal milk for three reasons:

1. It will smell (as i said before).

2. The milk damages the animals coat.

3.This problem leads to dry skin and fur.

Yes! Where else do you get your water from? Maybe a bottle.. but theres no need, Tap water is Absolutely Fine. I've been giving it to mine every week for three years and they arent dead yet so im sure its fine(: Haha. Good luck :P
