No, not even hamsters should play in a hamster ball. It frightens them , can effect their eyesight and makes them disorientated.
Do NOT put a guinea pig in ANY ball. They do not have the spines that hamsters have. They can break their backs and possibly die.
No, because it can hurt their feet.
Yes, they can but not together WITH the guinea pigs.
Guinea Pigs are not from New Guinea, as many people think, they are actually from South America where they were roasted for food. First of all, balls are BAD-BAD-BAD for your piggie. It curls its spine into an unnatural position and can be extremely painful!! Guinea pigs kept in this position will eventually not be able to walk right!! But if you insist... You can find guinea pig balls in a pet store. They can also be labeled as ferret balls. Just make sure you get it in an extremely big size. Oh, and like 98% of guinea pigs will not roll in its ball, but will just sit there and watch the world go by.
No, guinea pigs have relatively inflexible spines, and those balls force them to curve their back in a way that's painful and dangerous for them. This is true even of the larger balls that aren't so obviously painful for the pig to even get in, so it's best to just avoid them altogether.
Guinea pigs shouldn't go in balls to roll around in like hamsters do but they like to play with a ball, which you can buy from pet stores. Some have a bell in them or you can hide treats in them to stop your pig getting bored.
You shouldn't. To learn more about guinea pigs and their care, go to guineapigcages.com
