Yes, rabbits can play with and even eat plain cardboard, like the kind found in the tubes in the middle of toilet paper and paper towel rolls. Avoid bleached paper, shiny/slick labels and stickers, toxic glues and inks (non-toxic is common, though -- but make sure beforehand!), dirt, etc. Toilet paper tubes are a very common (and free!) toy for rabbits! Consider stuffing it with hay -- many rabbits love that, and it encourages hay eating (hay should be the biggest part of your rabbit's diet).
Yes, they will love it
I'm assuming your question is what do rabbit's PLAY with? Rabbits play with lots of things. Lots of rabbits like toilet paper or paper towel cardboard tubes.(Just make sure ALL the paper towel or toilet paper is off) Other rabbits like the little balls for cats that have the bells inside. Dwarf rabbits play with the same toys as all pet rabbits but, of course, their owners might choose smaller versions of the common toys. With dwarfs you have to be careful that they don't get their head stuck in a small opening. See the related question (linked below) for more information and helpful links.
From the top of my head rabbits will play with almost anything with food in them so try to find a spare toilet paper roll and fill it with hay and a few fresh veggies from the garden. If you choose a toy made with newspaper or normal paper, rabbit can chew on this and it can be fatal!Another person wrote: That is not necessarily true. Paper, wood, and wood/paper products may perfectly safe for rabbits to eat, it just depends on what it is exactly! For example: Fresh cedar and pine are toxic for rabbits, not only to eat but even just to sit nearby. Paper/wood products that have paints and inks can be toxic or they can be safe, depending on what kind of ink/paint was used. Wood/paper products that are varnished, covered with plastic or rubber, or treated with a high-gloss are not good for rabbits at all: these can be toxic, or they can lead to digestive problems. HOWEVER, plain, unbleached paper products, with no stickers or glossy bits, are fine for rabbits to play with, nibble on, and eat. Yellow Pages phone directories, for instance, and the cardboard tubes inside toilet paper rolls, are very common and excellent toys for rabbits!
