Can you breed your shih tzu brother and sister?

From experience we had an unexpected mating between father and daughter. They can get pregnant and from what i have learnt i would suggest not to codone interbreeding because my dog had a premature delivery of 9 days and 2 of the pups had to be put down because of horrfic birth defects (bi-lateral cleft pallet, intestines on the outside of body). Plus the one pup was delivered naturally the rest via c-section which caused my dog alot of stress and cost more than it is worth. My dog is a pomeranian small breed

All breeds of dog can be bred with any other breed. It can be difficult, and or painful if the pincher is the female, but artificial insemination is possible. It is likely not dangerous for either dog, since they are both small breeds. However, if the dogs are not attracted to eachother, breeding will probably not occur. I once had a pitbull/chihuahua mix. I do not know how it happened, but it happened.

Technically you can breed any dog to any other dog; it doesn't matter if they're related or not. However, any genetic health issues a father has, the daughter is also more likely to have, so breeding them together has a higher chance of passing down that issue to their babies.

this is what i have heard is that you can breed any relative accept brother to mother! of course i would avoid in-breeding cause what may of been the rule once may not be true anymore.
