Only if the anemia gets progressively worse. If it's stable, you won't die from it, and you should be able to replenish your iron stores. But if it get's worse, you're probably losing blood from somewhere, and if you lose a lot of blood, death does result.
Yes you can if you don't treat it. It's pretty unlikely in developed countries though.
