Itall depends on the horse. some are more jumpier than others. you have to comfert them while doing it by saying good girl or boy easy your ok. and letting them know its ok and that they shouldn't be scared. If you are not experianced with horses don't do it by yourself and always have someone holding the horse while you are bathing it.
you would have to wash them with warm water and they hate getting thir face wet
Soap helps get the dirt and sweat off the horse's body. It does help their skin, but you shouldn't give a horse a bath too frequently. Giving a horse a bath say, once a week, would irritate the horse's skin making it itchy and dry. I give my horse a bath once a month, or once every two months depending on the season.
winter
It really depends. If you give a horse grain in the winter then yes you should in the summer but just less then you do in winter.
