Yes it is possible. But a pellet rifle will make a cleaner kill than a BB gun. BB's do not deform on impact and the rodent will suffer before death. Where a pellet will mushroom on impact and kill in a more humane way.
Also, you should check with the wildlife commission first, because while Maryland does allow hunting small game with air rifles, they're required to adhere to all other rifle regulations... presumably including the one that "soft point ammunition" be used; I'm not certain that BBs (which are usually copper-jacketed steel) qualify.
I know of no gun registeration in Maryland. No such thing as a unregistered gun.
You will need the services of a lawyer
Depends on the gun. For most common rifle, shotgun, and handguns, MD does not have a registration requirement. Assualt weapons are required to be registered. Link below to MD firearm laws, and you can check with the MD State Police.
Very generally speaking, a felon cannot have access to or control over a gun anywhere in the U.S.

Yes, but there is a 7 day waiting period in Maryland for handguns and "assault weapons" based on what I found.
Illinois/ Maryland. Those states require new handguns sold there to have an INTERNAL lock, and a magazine disconnector. Gun marked w/o il MD is not legal for retail sale in those states.
You'd be subject to both, actually.
It is kept in the National Archives and Records building in College Park, MD. It is the property of the United States.
Gun parts corp. Stock # is 1570340B , price $41.75 plus shipping.
I suggest that you procure a copy of the Gun Digest Assembly/Disassembly book for law enforcement weapons. The Thompson is included. Find it on Amazon.
This one will cover all 50 states regarding a gun in a commercial vehicle ....it is not allowed. ====== False - there is NOTHING in the FMCSR addressing firearms in a commercial vehicle. The laws of transporting firearms in a CMV are going to be the same as any other vehicle, and these laws will vary from state-to-state. If you're in MD, it's not a very gun-friendly state, and they do not recognise out-of-state concealed carry permits, so you won't be permitted to carry it concealed in the cab.
