No, they won't understand what you are trying to make them do.. but if you did spend ages going over and over it, they might get the hang of it
all you have to do is think of something fun like a high five and make it your own
It is the same as ''high-five''. Only you start it by squatting, not by sitting down.
Wave, hug, smile, shake hands, nod, kiss, high five.
High five is quite similar to shake hand and since shake hand is one of the most universal dog obedience training, i assume your dog know shake hand. The concept is the same but slightly more complicating. you have to first hold out your palm and say 'high five' for him to do it. chances is, he wont respond but make sure he is at least focused on what you are saying. now raise one of his paws and tap it on to the SAME palm you show it to him earlier and stimulate a high five position while saying 'high five'. then end it by praising him and make him get excited even though he won't understand what just happened. repeat the steps again and again for few days until he gets it. Training takes time and individual dogs have different level of intelligence so don't compare your dogs with other dogs.
wheels need balancing, sometimes shake is only evident at high speed
Practically anything. Mine is only 16 weeks old and she knows paw other paw sit down stay high-five other hi five
Rainforests occupy these high elevations in Papua New Guinea.
You spell high five, high five.
Shake of the Haters High
Because you raise your hand(high) and you have five fingers(five)
No!!!! This can cause guinea pigs to unwittingly fall from high places.
First, teach him to sit. Gently take hold of his paw while saying, "paw," or "shake." Choose the command that works best for you. While holding the paw, give him a treat. Repeat this several times until he is comfortable letting you hold his paw for 30 seconds or more. The next step is to get him to offer his paw instead of waiting for you to pick it up. Hold out your hand as if you are about to take his paw, and give his command. If he raises his paw, go ahead and take it and give him a reward. If he raises it and puts it in your hand, give him several treats in a row and lots of praise (this is called a "jackpot"). Eventually he will learn to put his paw in your hand when you give the command. It's easy to extend shaking to doing a "high five." Start with a dog who knows how to shake. Instead of giving your shake command, use a new one. I use "high five." Hold out your hand as if to shake, but instead of holding it palm up, hold it in the 'high five' position, but at the same height as you usually put your hand to shake. Odds are good he'll make a guess and put his paw on your hand. When he does, give lots of praise and a reward. Gradually raise your hand each time you do 'high five' and he'll learn to aim higher than he does with a shake.
