Use 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) for each year of age up to age 16. After that, use the dosage that causes a bowel movement that cannot be resisted or ignored. This is a very safe medication and is primarily used to help people have regular, daily bowel movements when they tend to forget to allow time for this during their busy activities during the day.
People use lactulose primarily as a laxative to treat constipation. It works by drawing water into the intestines, which helps soften stool and promotes bowel movements. Additionally, lactulose is used to manage hepatic encephalopathy, a condition related to liver dysfunction, by reducing ammonia levels in the blood. Its ability to stimulate bowel activity makes it a valuable option for those seeking relief from constipation.
One creative way to incorporate syrup into homemade dog treats is by using it as a sweetener in the treat recipe. You can also drizzle a small amount of syrup on top of the treats as a tasty finishing touch. Another idea is to mix syrup with other ingredients like peanut butter or yogurt to create a flavorful and enticing filling for the treats. Remember to use syrup in moderation, as too much sugar can be harmful to dogs.
not a good idea unless you used just half the dose
at worst case yes. never ever use dog flea repellent on cats
Lactulose is typically in a liquid form because it is easier to administer, especially in cases where precise dosage control is necessary, such as in treating constipation or hepatic encephalopathy. The liquid form also allows for better absorption and quicker onset of action in the gastrointestinal tract.
They use maple syrup because it adds flavour.
To safely administer prednisolone syrup to your child, follow these steps: Shake the bottle well before measuring the dose. Use a medicine dropper or syringe to measure the correct dose as prescribed by the doctor. Administer the syrup directly into the child's mouth, aiming for the back of the tongue to prevent choking. Encourage your child to swallow the medication and offer a drink of water afterwards if needed. Wash the dropper or syringe thoroughly after each use to prevent contamination. If you have any concerns or questions, consult your child's healthcare provider for guidance.
no use cheese!!!!!!!!!!
The frontline plus chemicals have different molar concentrations for each animal. These concentration vary depending on the size of the pet and the species and so forth. You may use the same front line plus for both cats and dogs, but if you use a cat dose on a dog dose, the full effects will not be active. If you use a dog dose on a cat, the dose may be too powerful and cause damaging effects to the cat's body(blood stream, skin, fur, etc.)
In short, yes. And no. It depends on how much is "too much". The safest course of action is to use the dose meant for your dog's weight-range, though many people buy a higher dose and split it up. Talk to your vet.
You can try homeopathic medicine if you have an idea of what is wrong. I use earthclinic.com for both family and dogs.
