Given an opportunity - Yes. But it is unlikely that a lion pride can hunt and kill a full grown elephant. However, they have been known to hunt down elephant calves and injured or old elephants that stray away from their herd. Practically speaking, there is no way a lion pride can bring down a full grown elephant.
lion
Well, not any animal really can kill an elephant (apart from humans). Only scavengers can eat one if it is already dead, but maybe a lion could eat a baby that is unattended. A lion can not kill a baby elephant easily either.
An animal that would eat a elephant would be a lion, now maybe not just one lion would sustain a large elephant but a pack of lions would sure get the job done.
Lion is to cub as elephant is to calf. Cub is what a young lion is called. Similarly a young elephant is called an elephant calf.
I saw a lion eat an elephant on the T.V. =P (Discovery channel is Koolz!!)
because the lion can take down an elephant while a tiger avoids an elephant but it takes a while for the lion to take the elephant down
Defiantly a elephant.A lion will kill you and a elephant will wash you.I rather get washed then killed.Only an idiot likes an lion over a elephant
Not unless it was a very small, very sick, very wounded elephant. They are too big and too strong for a predator to mess with them.
Another lion, hyenas, even crocodiles

Considering that a elephant is a herbivore, lion will be better off. It is higher in the food chain.
