Yes, Alpacas require shelter in all areas. In the cold months they need shelter from the wind and snow, in the hot months they need shelter from the sun. We have found that our Llamas and Alpacas prefer to have several different shelters to choose from. Varying from the shade of a few trees to a full barn for the coldest days.
