Do bats have bad eyesight

Contrary to popular belief, bats have a quite good eyesight, besides, they can rely on a very useful resource called 'echolocation', which is something like a natural sonar. They emit a sound and wait for the echo it produces on things, that way, they can calculate the distance things are away from them and avoid to crash on them.

It all depends on the species of Bat. Bats that rely on echolocation, which are insect-eating bats, have relatively poor eyesight as they require the use of their echolocation for flying very quickly to catch prey instead of their eyes as opposed to fruit eating bats and other species who do not rely on echolocation, whom have eyesight just as good as humans and even better in some aspects such as light-gathering capacity.

As far as how well most Bats' eyesight is: Most bats have good enough eyesight to navigate around obstacles, just not good enough to navigate at high speeds like when hunting insects.

Well, a lot of people say that bats are blind, but I learned that bats have better eye sight then we do. I'm not 100 percent sure but I think that bats have better eye sight then we do.
