this all depends on wether the dog grew up with water. If it didnt it might not like to swim or be afraid of swimming.
Many boxers like water as much as any other breed but as they are short muzzled dogs, they have difficulty keeping their nose above the water which could cause them problems if they ingest water - short muzzled dogs therefore are best wearing a dog life jacket which will support their neck and head above water, preventing water being taken in.
