Yes. Female cheetahs, once that are grown, hunt and live alone. They only socialize when in heat and is seeking a male. After mating the male might hang around for a day or so but they still do not hunt together. The only exception would be if she had cubs. As the cubs grow the mother will go through stages of teaching her cubs to hunt. She will first bring back kills for them to eat. When they are ready she will catch prey and bring it to her young alive so they can practice hunting. When they are mostly grown they may help the mother hunt but often they leave their mother as soon as they come of age. Males are much more social and often hunt together. They sometimes live in small groups, usually consisting of brothers, called coalitions.
