Yes. They have a undercoat that can mat if not brushed out regularly. It does shed but shedding is minimal if you brush your dog twice a week. Usually shedding accrues in season changes, stressful times, after giving birth, or when the dog is put in a warmer environment then used to. In general they shed a lot less than a Shepard but more than a Cockapoo mix.
