Although I am far from an expert, I can tell you from firsthand experience as my beloved dog of 13 years just passed. About 2 months ago she started acting as if she was about 2. Lots of energy, wanting to go for walks, and just so full of life. It brought me a spark of hope that yes, she was going to be around for a few more years. Then about a weeks ago when I took her for one of her walks she started slowing down....she'd push her doggie pillow right by the side of the bed where I lay.....she was much more affectionate and whenever I would go to leave she would lift her paw as if to say "Please take me with you." If I knew that she knew she wasn't going to be here much longer on this earth I would have spent every minute with her. She knew, I didn't. Her last 2 days were heartbreaking.....she could barely walk but I could just see that she was fighting the inevitable. She passed Monday morning....I had lain on the floor with her all night and finally went in the bed for a little while. I came out into the room and she was still breathing....sparking hope in my eyes. I picked up the phone to call the vet, she stretched her legs as if in a deep slumber, and died. It was as if she was waiting to hear my voice one last time. Although it hurts deeply, I do believe they do know their days are numbered with their loved ones, and they look for quality time just as we ourselves would. Cherish your pets, and pay attention. In her weakest moment, when she could barely walk or move, she took the effort to wag her tail twice; as if telling me it's okay Mom. I will never forget my May.
because they want to die
Dogs tongues are not black when the are dead.
The weak die off before they can reproduce.
Yes, dogs eventually die.
Because dogs are loyal companions and want to tell their owners that they will miss them and goodbye.
Because children have weak immune systems unlike adults. So since there were no antibiotics, children would die faster then adults.
dogs do not die on dgz5 but if they are not treated well they will run away
Some dogs may exhibit changes in behavior before they die, such as withdrawing from their usual activities, seeking solitude, loss of appetite, or increased restlessness. Each dog's experience may vary, so it is important to provide them with comfort and support during this time.
