I have a nine year old female (spayed) Shih Tzu that has been crying and whining straight for the last 24 hours. I took her to the vet today, and she could not see anything other than tenderness of her abdomen as a cause. She was given an NSAID pain shot and medication to calm her stomach.... but she is still really sad and whining off and on and I have no idea what to do to help her.
she is eating normally and doesn't seem to have any other issues?
