Yes. All creatures must sleep. The dolphin can sleep, move and breath at the same time.
They do this by allowing only half of their brain to shut down. They often can get about 8 hours of sleep. They can accomplish this three ways. They can slowly cruise at the surface of the water taking breaths, they can rest at the bottom of a shallow area rising to the surface to get a breath or they can simply rest on the surface. Dolphins do sleep, but in a very unique way. One half of the brain dozes off, whilest the other is still awake (looking out for predators) then vice versa (happens to the the other side) Hope it helps =)
neither...if it were to fall asleep, it would die
Neither actually, they take 10-30 minute periods throughout the day in which half of their brain is asleep for.
They sleep in at night and wake up in the morning.
I don't know maybe in the OCEAN!
They don't ever sleep they swim all day
They Sleep at Night.
A dolphin is not nocturnal... Dolphins sleep with one half of their brain plus one eye closed, then switching to the other side of the brain and the other eye closed during other parts of the day -- slowing down everything inside their bodies and moving...in other words are not nocturnal, they hunt during the day and sleep during the night...like humans.
Tigers sleep all night, and part of the day.
