Do elephants make good pets

Yes a zebra can make a good pet with alot of time i got ten dai when he was 5 weeks old and brought him to in from tx he is now 5 months old and he follows me like a dog i can pick up all four feet ,lead him he his my best friend

You would need a permit to keep exotic animals, an area of at least several hundred square yards, fenced strongly, where the bird could run free, and some experience handling dangerous creatures. Ostriches become accustomed to humans, but they cannot be tamed and they are capable of killing an adult. Be prepared to buy a lot of ostrich chow, too, along with some good liability insurance.

Having an elephant as a pet is not really the brightest of ideas. One, they will be much to big to keep in your house, and two, there is no way you are going to want to clean up elephant urine and poo. Also, they are not easy to feed; they eat 100 times more food than a dog or cat. There is also the issue of a danger they might present because of their great size and strength.

No although ostriches have been domesticated to some degree since the 1800's they are not fully Domesticated and there are still many wild Ostriches in Africa. Ostrich Farming started in South Africa in the 1800's to feed the Europeans needs for Ostrich feathers, the birds were selectively bred and were a mixture of various Ostrich subspecies from all over Africa. Today most ostriches are raised for there Meat and Leather, in addition to there feathers.
