No they dont have to be the same age but if u plan on breeding a guinea pig older than 1 and never have been bred before the age of 1 then ur guinea pig may incounter health issues.
yes after the age of 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the girls can stay with mom
The best age to breed your guinea-pigs is 5 months to a year old.
You should probably get another guinea pig of the same gender and age, maybe from an animal rescue centre. Don't get a rabbit, though, because while some rabbits and guinea pigs are great friends, most fight and the guinea pig often dies because the rabbit tries to mate with it. Rabbits are much stronger and more aggressive than guinea pigs so don't put them in with each other for the guinea pig's sake.
guinea pigs are born with fur unless the are skinny guinea pigs ( breeds with no hair)
Yes, but make sure that they are kinda the same age ...
yes they can guinea pigs can be trained any age but if you train them its best to start young!! : )
No, guinea pigs need a male around in order to mate. What probably happened is your guinea pig was pregnant when you bought it. This is quite common since guinea pigs are hard to sex when they are young but can however, reproduce at a very young age.
About 4 weeks of age.
Male guinea pigs can succesfully imprenate a female guinea pig at (I believe)only 8 weeks of age, however it takes about 9 months for the guinea pig to be fully grown.
guinea pigs are born full functional they are miniature versions of there parents with proportionally big heads
it is hard to age a guinea pig but if its over 1kg then its over 1 year old
well i think its ok for them to have sex because me and my older brother did and if humans can why not guinea pigs Yes... but is it a good idea to let them? I'm sure someone else will expand on this. guinea pigs can deffinantly mate with their brothers and sisters. it is a good idear to let them because when guinea pigs find their mating partner the male might kill the female of the babies but whenh they are brother and sister they have grown up together and are used to each others company!
