Mud puppies do not internally breed; they are external fertilizers. During the breeding season, males release sperm into the water, where females lay their eggs. The eggs are fertilized outside the female's body. Mud puppies are a type of aquatic salamander, and this reproductive method is typical for many amphibians.
Some common types of puppies include mixed breed puppies, purebred puppies, and designer breed puppies. Mixed breed puppies are a combination of two or more breeds, while purebred puppies belong to a specific breed with consistent characteristics. Designer breed puppies are a cross between two purebred dogs to create a new breed with desired traits.

More than likely, No. They don't eat mud puppies. Mud puppies are large salamanders they get to be up to 16 inches long. Most salamanders are not very tasty to mammals. Bears forage on mostly anything but I have never heard tell of them eating water dogs/mud puppies.
