well pandas have 5 'fingers' or 'claws' these each consist of 3-4 bones i think. Their actual thumb would therefore be the same size as one of its claws. But pandas have evolved another bone on their paw. This is located further down the hand and only consist of 2 bones. it also does not stick out like a claw but is sat under a pad on its hand, this can be pushed to touch the other pad further down and across on the palm.
