No, they need to mate, then the doe will give birth a month later.
Yes, unless you want the other rabbits to kill the babies when theyre born. EVERY RABBIT needs it's own cage after it reaches 4 months of age, so this should not be a question - whether to separate a pregnant doe from the rest of the herd.
no, if the guineapigs cannot escape from their cage and physically touch each other then they will not mate
Although you can keep a pregnant rabbit in a hutch with others it is best to remove her and give her a separate space a couple weeks before she is due to give birth. Pregnant females get really aggressive during the last days of their pregnancy and could possible harm other rabbits or even herself. During the last few days the rabbit will begin "nesting" by pulling out her own hair to make her birthing bed. This nest could be interrupted and destroyed by other rabbits inside the cage. In most cases a number of things can happen if the female gives birth with other rabbits in the same hutch: 1) Other rabbits will kill or physically harm the newborn rabbits 2) The mother will abandon the babies at birth 3) Because of the sharing of the cage the babies could get trampled on by other rabbits There is a blog on this site that provides more information on pet care Peticulous.com
Yes we had a pregnant mouse who was in a cage with 7 other female mice, so we put her in her own cage. When she has her babies, she will make a nest for them so make sure there is plenty of bedding. If you do not separate them the baby mice might be at risk, although a pregnant mouse can be kept in the same cage. If her babies are in the cage with other mice, she might nip and bite the mice to protect her babies though
You need to keep any males out of the same cage that a pregnant female is in. You can keep other females with the pregnant one. If you think you may have a problem with the pregnant one, you can cage her by herself.
There are 2 general ways. One is to feel for the babies. When doing this, feel all around her belly, and you are feeling for what feels like Marbles. The other way is to put the female back into the males cage. If she is pregnant, she will refuse the buck. If not, she will then get bred. :-)
For rabbits, "cage à lapins" (rabbits cage).
Rex rabbits (and Mini Rex rabbits) should be mature before breeding. About six months is a good age to breed rex rabbits. Be sure you take the female to the buck's cage, not the buck to the doe's cage. You will get the desired result a lot faster and more accurately.
They should be separate BEFORE they mate. You should never house 2 rabbits together. Rabbits are very territorial and require their own space. You take the doe to the bucks cage and then remove her after breeding takes place, returning her to her own cage.
My iguana come from Florida how do you know what they look like when they're pregnant and the eggs do you put them in a separate cage with the lizards or separate the lizards from the mother
Rabbits are territorial and when you put a male in a female's cage, it is her space. Therefore it's better to put the doe in the buck's cage.
You take the doe to the bucks cage.
