No! Gerbils and Guinea Pigs are completely different. It is a general rule of thumb to never use food that is labeled for multiple small animals since generally this food is not good for any of the animals it is listed for. Make sure to get good quality species specific food.

Only if they are considered to be for both hamsters, and other small types of animals. Because I have a guinea pig, and you could feed it rabbit food, but it has no Vitamin C. But basically, all of the food small animals eat are the same thing. So I say yes.

Yes. It is best to keep them in the same gender unless you want breeding. Gerbils are very social creatures, unlike hampsters. The most common set of pet gerbils is 2 of the same gender.

There are 3 things you want to look for when buying gerbils as pets for them to get along:

-Be the same gender

-Get them from the same litter(not required, but if you don't do this, do option 3)

-Being with each other since birth
