I have raised a number of orphaned raccoons for a local wildlife rescue group and, as long as their waste is kept cleaned in their pens, I have never noticed any strong odor from the animals beyond a very faint musky odor.
Yes!! For sure and it is very awful. It only happens when they are scared I have two raccoons a male and female I rescue them so they don't get killed! They are awesome pets and animals but when they are scared they stink BAD lol so for u answer YES they DO!!
