The only type of tiger that lives in Russia is the Siberian tiger. They live in the taiga (subarctic pine forest) of Siberia. They are most attracted to areas with lots of large game, like wild boar or Eurasian elk. A type of Siberian tiger, the Caspian tiger, used to live as far south and west as Azerbaijan (a small country in eastern Europe, bordering Asia), but they are now considered extinct there, although there have been possible sightings since then.
