Yes rabbits DO have "periods" so to speak. You will not necessarily know, but unlike humans, they have to become in "season" This is when they can mate. You will not notice when the rabbit/s bleed but they do, and the doe(female rabbit) will not stop getting in season, unless you get her spayed
No, rabbits DO NOT menstruate nor do they have a "heat" cycle. They are known as induced ovulators because they only ovulate after being bred. A female rabbit will accept a mate at almost any time.
Do female rabbits menstruate? Mt boy rabbit just died after 9 yrs. & a female rabbit(six weels old ) is available to me. Do they get their periods once a month ?
Thanks

No, rabbits do not menstruate.
Yes. However because they are such small animals, you wouldn't be able to notice.
No, Rabbits are virtually 'in season' 27 days out of the month of 30 days.
Nope, rabbits don't have periods, they an breed whenever they like.
sometimes because my bunny did have but not all the time
No, if they are bleeding then they could be very sick and need to see a vet.
no. Rabbits are polyesterus which means they do not come in to heat at a set time. Female rabbits ovulate after mating.
Nope!! They're only able to get pregnant when certain hormones are released. And that only happens when they're aroused.
Yes my bunny got her period... not monthly but every now and then would notice her bleeding. Vet said it was her period.
rabbits don't have periods.
Yes , it attracts bears and small rabbits.
6 months old.
Rabbits don't have periods.
If it's a female, yes. If it's a male, no.
Rabbits do not go in season, they are always in season (rabbits are induced ovulators). The only time female rabbits "bleed" is when they are giving birth, or if they are very ill (with an infection or cancer). If your rabbit is bleeding from the genitals (or anywhere, really), bring her to a vet with experience and knowledge in treating rabbits immediately. See the related questions below for help.
Yes domestic rabbits can get the west Nile virus. The most common sign of infection for the domestic rabbit is paralysis. They will sit in one spot for longs periods of time and not move to get food or water.
Fibonacci is a famous mathematician who lived around the turn of the 13th century. He is known for a sequence where each number is the sum of the two preceding it. He presented it as the total number of rabbits in a population after so many time periods, assuming that each pair of rabbits had a set number of birthings then died.
for like, 1 wk. like a human As above is not true. Rabbits not ovulate until they mate there for they don't have periods like other animals. I have been studying about Rabbit breeding for awhile getting ready to start soon.
The rabbit does not sleep for long periods at one time. Throughout the day and evening a rabbit will sleep in intervals spanning 6 to 8 hours.
