I want to say no they do not, but at the same time I never see any cars with them hit a deer.
no the smell of cooking does not scare a deer away. If you are a loud cooker or making lots of noise then it will run away
YES
To install deer whistles on a car, first, clean the area where you plan to attach the whistles, typically on the front grille or bumper. Most deer whistles come with adhesive backing; simply peel off the protective layer and press them firmly onto the cleaned surface. Ensure they are positioned to face forward for maximum effectiveness, and if using screws, drill small pilot holes and secure them tightly. Finally, double-check that the whistles are securely attached before driving.
The discharge of a muzzle-loader is loud, without question, but it's not significantly different than a contemporary rifle. If the bullet misses the deer, the sound will most likely scare it.
To protect your phlox plants from deer damage, you can try using physical barriers like fences or netting, applying deer repellents, planting deer-resistant plants nearby, or using motion-activated devices to scare away the deer.
Thats why you don't scare the deer, you SHOOT them! You don't scare them you SHOOT the bitches
Most of the time deer will just try to run away from its predator. But if not then a buck will use their antlers, and a doe will stand on their back legs and kick with their front legs
It depends if you threaten them... or scare them or if you hit them with a car. yea. Hope this helps!
The deer obviously runs away.
They'll do approximately as much good in the glove compartment, or better yet still in the package in the store, as anywhere else.Every study that's ever been done on these devices has concluded that they have no measurable effect. In fact, state police in several states have noted that after installing deer whistles on patrol cars, the number of deer/vehicle incidents actually increased from those over a similar period the year before the whistles were installed (this is probably coincidence and not a causal relationship).Occasionally vendors of these devices will claim that studies in Europe have proved they work, but if you actually read the studies they cite, the ultimate conclusions are, again, that the whistles do nothing. Save your money.
On my 89 XJ it's the 4 roof mounted deer whistles positioned below the front roof rack bar. Whistle about 55 - 60 mph. I travel 60,000 km per year. Yes the deer whistles do deter the deer. It could be your side mirrors or a trim strip, per haps at the window. Or some weather strip leakage at the doors. Do you get the whistle a certain speed range? How are your wheel bearings and diff. lube. Is it a whistle or whine? Have a passenger search for the source, or if you trust them driving your jeep you search for the source. Have you accessory lighting or winch mounted up front? The whistle is some thing vibrating in the wind at a resonance frequency. You need to find the source by following the sound.
