You should get a crate. The crate should be just large enough for the puppy. If you want to buy a large crate because your dog will get bigger, then stick a box or some kind of separator in the back of the crate to make it smaller. This makes it so that the dog will not want to go to the bathroom in its bed.

It is not necessary to feed a puppy of this age throughout the night. As long as you get 3 to 4 feedings in throughout the day, you are doing fine. It is important to note that a 6 week old puppy should NOT be separated from its mother. The earliest a puppy should be separated from mother and family is at 8 weeks for the sake of the optimal health of the puppy. Puppies should begin introduction to solid foods (albeit soft solids) at 3 to 4 weeks of age. This should be in addition to the mother's milk, which contains antibodies and essential nutrients to the puppies' development.

So, what I do, (even though my dog is, like, 13) is, say for example we're going on a car ride, he'll bark and whine and doesn't stop, so me, my dad and my stepmom will take turns running with him outside for about 15mins to half an hour so that when we get in the truck, he'll be too tired to bark or whine and he sometimes falls asleep

You can get a puppy to sleep through the night by placing a windup clock under a blanket in a box with the puppy. The puppy will think the clock is it's mother's heartbeat.
