Whether or not the pups are vet checked and have their shots before selling them is completely up to you. Many buyers like to know that their pup is "checked out" as being healthy and had their first shot before they take them home.

I never had my pups vet checked but guaranteed my pups to be healthy at their next vet visit for their next shot. My vet used to tell me that there is really nothing they are going to find wrong with a puppy at that age (around 7 weeks) except possibly a heart murmur which usually clears up as the pup ages.

It is also very easy to buy and give your pups their shots. Providing the sale of the vaccinations are allowed in your state. I would also worm them at the time of the first shot. I raised and did a little showing with my Golden Retrievers and never had a problem selling my puppies this way. You should also offer a good health guarantee against the heredity health problems that are common in your breed. In my opinion this should be at least a 2 year guarantee but 3-5 years is not uncommon. The health guarantee should be signed by you and given to the puppy buyer. If you do not want to write up your own guarantee from scratch, you can find one on-line and edit it to fit your breed.

Of course, if you EVER notice that a puppy is not well, for any reason, a trip to the Vet is in order.

Must a dog go for body check up every year?

You would probably check with the vet. depending on the dogs health that would pretty much determine whether the dog needed to be checked up a lot and when the dog is young in its puppy stage you would probably go every six months especially for its shots to get done. Thank you, Answerwhiz348
