When breeding rabbits it is always a good idea to put the doe in the bucks cage. If you do it the other way aroung there is a good chance that your doe could easily hurt you buck! Hope that helps!
Rabbits are territorial and when you put a male in a female's cage, it is her space. Therefore it's better to put the doe in the buck's cage.
You need to palpate your doe, OR you can test breed your doe. Put her back in the cage with the buck, if she runs from him and cries and whines she is probably bred.
I usually wait untill she takes twice. Then put her back in during the after noon until she takes twice again. NEVER leave the doe alone with the buck with out supervision. If she has babies, be sure that the buck is away from the cage. The mom will need a quiet place to get started.
When the female goat (doe) is at least 12 to 14 months of age.
To breed a rabbit take the female rabbit to the males cage never to the females cage. Once you have put them in the cage leave them there over night. After that in the morning take the rabbit out for 1 to 12 hours and then put them back in . Hope this helps if not send me an email at modlin.riley@gmail.com
Hare females are called doe not hare! hare is a compleatly different species! i concure.A female rabbit is a called a "doe," just like a female deer. (Sometimes a female rabbit is called a "jill," but that's not very common.)Female rabbits are "does", males are "bucks" and the babies are "kittens" (kits).
It can be challenging to determine if a bunny is pregnant without knowing the breeding date. Look for signs such as weight gain, nesting behavior, and nipple development. Consult a veterinarian for confirmation and guidance on caring for a pregnant bunny.
No, it is recommended that you only put the buck in the doe's cage for about 5 minutes to mate. Many times the doe will become territorial and actually attack the buck, if left unattended together.
Take doe to bucks cage, put them together but don't walk off or leave them together over night. It only takes a few minutes for conception to take place. A buck will get on the doe and hump her back if she is in season (which is most days out of a month) she will cooperate by raising her hind quarters. If conception takes place he (the buck) will sort of freeze and then squeal and fall off the doe. Remove her from the cage and mark your calendar for 28 to 31 days. That is when you should expect your doe to kindle.
My guess would be it is a female rabbit. But, if not perhaps he doesn't like where you have put his straw or he is bored. A female rabbit will do this when she builds her nest.
yes you can because they will most likely mate again if the buck is the same as before and the baby rabbits have been sold
First, both rabbits must be sexually mature. A doe (female) is taken to the buck's (male) cage/hutch. Courting may occur by one or both rabbits. If a doe is in heat and ready to breed she will allow the buck to mount her. Mating then occurs. The doe is then returned to her cage/hutch and in 28-32 days she will kindle (give birth) to a litter.
