Yes - it should work and relax most dogs. DAP stands for 'Dog appeasing pheromone' and it is a synthetic version of the pheromone that bitches produce to keep her puppies calm. It takes a few weeks to work so if you're wanting to use it for a specific stressful event (e.g. bonfire night) then you should start using it 2-3 weeks before. It won't necessarily work for all dogs, it depends how severe their anxiety or fear is. In severe cases your vet can prescribe tranquilizing drugs (such as Diazepam) to keep your dog calm in situations of severe stress.
