Which is larger the polar bear or the grizzly bear?

Firstly, we must look at the grizzly bear. The grizzly is an inland race of the brown bear, and is smaller than the polar bear on average. However, other brown bear races such as the Kodiak bear, are just as large or larger than polar bears. The Polar bear is the longest (up to 11 feet) but the Grizzly can outweigh them by 500 pounds and grow about 3 - 4 inches taller at the shoulder. So I would say the Polar bear.

What bear is bigger the polar bear or grizzly?

Polar bears are the largest bear on earth. They can be several feet taller than a grizzly bear. This depends. Grizzlies are a race of the brown bear, an inland race found in the US and Canada. This bear is somewhat smaller than the polar bear. But the race of brown bear found in coastal regions often grow as large as polar bears. The Kodiak bear, for example, can grow to over 1500 pounds.Today, many refer to all brown bears as "grizzles", when in fact true grizzlies live in inland regions.

Is the polar bear the biggest bear?

Yes, they are also one of the strongest animals. Average weight of polar bear is 700 kg, they can weight up to 1102 kg, they can stand up to amazing 375 centimeters. This is a list of the strongest animals on the planet. This is maybe the most accurate list. I've calculated average weight, maximum weight, average height, maximum height, average length, maximum length, speed and bite force (this includes trunk power for elephants, horn power for rhinos...)I know that giraffe is probably a little surprise.RankNamePoints1African elephant35.812Polar bear35.143Asian elephant33.514Giraffe33.285Hippo33.026White rhino32.207Kodiak bear32.198Saltwater crocodile32.169Walrus32.1110.Grizzly bear32.01Polar bears are the largest bear, as well as the largest carnivore. Do moose weigh more than bears?

Most, not all though. Typically a Polar bear and a Kodiak bear may be larger than a moose, especially a young one or a cow, but they may weigh around the same or slightly more or less than a bull moose, especially the males, not the females. However, moose are always (except the calves) going to be bigger than a black bear.

How large is a grizzly bear?

Grizzlies stand at around 4 feet at the shoulder--on all fours, not on two legs--but standing on two legs, may reach over 6 feet tall. Rarely do bears ever get above 8 feet standing on their hind legs. Boar grizzlies weigh around 800 lbs, females are only around 500 lbs. Very rarely are big male grizzlies found to weigh over 1500 lbs. That depends on the species. Grizzly bears and Kodiak bears are both species of brown bear. Kodiak's are a bit larger though. They can get up to 10ft in length and weigh 1,500 lbs.It depends on the gender and place where they live. A grizzly bear is quite big and strong, but is shorter and lighter than a polar bear. Males can grow up to 10 feet tall, while females can grow up to 8.5 ft tall. Grizzly bears weigh from 500- 1700 pounds.
