Well, like any wild animal, they typically dont make good pets. Just like tigers in the circus, they are unprediacable and can snap at any moment. Even if you raise them from cubs, they have the instinct to kill in them. Some people do have wolves as pets, but they are experts, and have the proper knowledge of how to raise them, feed them, and take care of them. You dont just get one and expect to treat it like a dog. They have special needs. So if you are planning to get one, you need to read up on them and learn what you are getting yourself into. Plus, I'm pretty sure you need a permit. ;)
I believe they have two, the Northern Rocky Mountains Wolf and the Mackenzie Valley Wolf
Because in wolfquest you play in Yellowknife National Park, the only species of wolf in the game is the Mackenzie Valley Wolf. You may customize the colour though(only colours that exist on wolves).
If you are talking about wolves in the wild, average is 9 years. For a wild animal kept in captivity, you can generally double the life span.
The Mackenzie Valley Wolf (Canis lupus occidentalis) is also known as the Canadian Timber Wolf. They range throughout most of the western US, most of western Canada, Alaska, Unimak Island in the Aleutian chain, and has been re-located to Yellowstone National Park as well as central Idaho.
yes but may i suggest the Mistwood valley pack to me it sounds more descriptive
The valley wolf, like all mammals, has a skeletal structure of bone and cartilage, making it a vertebrate.
the Arctic Wolf and the Mackenzie Valley Wolf, also known as the Canadian Timber Wolf. Both are a subspecies of the Grey Wolf. The average weight of both are 50-65/70kg, or 110-155lbs. the largest wolf on record is an Alaskan Wolf at 175lbs, or 80kg, 1944, in Bulgaria. Even so, the largest wolves that can be found are the grey wolves found in Northern Alberta, Canada. I don't know what subspecies they are, but they are most likely Arctic or Mackenzie Valley. They are normally seen in Wood Buffalo National Park. It was never officially recorded, but some say the biggest wolf recorded was at 125lbs in Alberta, but its not known whether this is true or not, as the picture could have been fake or changed to look larger, so on record, its the one from Bulgaria.Just to make it clear, Mackenzie Valley Wolves are NOT the same subspecies as the Alaskan Grey Wolf. They are often confused as the same.
there are many names for the gray wolf, such as Canis lupus, dingo, Timber Wolf Genus, arctic wolf, tundra wolf, Mackenzie Valley wolf, timber wolf, plains wolf, Mexican wolf, lobo and lone wolf. But the most common name is the question your asking; the (Grey) Gray Wolf is the most common name.
No. They actually make a good pet.

Cry Wolf
The Sanskrit word for wolf is "Vṛka." So, if you ever need to call out to a wolf in Sanskrit, now you know what to yell. Just make sure you have a good reason for summoning a wolf, okay?
