camels can drink up to +100 litres at a time

the water gets relatively quickly taken up by the stomach lining (hours)

after this, it is gradually taken up in the blood stream (camels have oval like red blood particles, so these can distend, accumulating the water, humans have round particles).

so - the water "disappears" in the Carmel's body parts within about 24h, unreachable by "just opening a camel" and drinking the water.
