Answer I don't expect that you feel much when you are under and the operation is in process. Even the first day or so they will keep you sedated and when you go home the doctors will probably give you something to ease the pain, but if this is the kind of operation that has to be done, be glad that they can do it. I had half a lung removed from Cancer, I'm still here and yes it hurt like hell, but they cut through the muscle to get at my Cancer, you it's your foot, not as sensitive an area.
