Painted turtles are enormously vulnerable to a wide variety of predators. Nest predators include raccoons, foxes and skunks. Painted Turtles have many predators which include raccoons, foxes, skunks, gulls, crows, ravens, herons, weasels and snapping turtles.
The only difference between the two are that one has ears, and one is a natural no eared seals! Simple!
Depending on the region where the turtle lives, different predators will eat turtles. Birds of prey, alligators, snakes, raccoons, dogs, cats and larger turtles will all eat red-eared sliders depending on their size. Smaller turtles are more easily caught than others.
