An example of competition is the lion. The alpha lion will sometimes face a younger challenger who wants to take control over the kingdom. Also at the watering hole, the animals will compete to get a spot due to over crowding. This also applies for eating away at a carcass, the alpha lion will eat first and he other animals will compete for a spot. I hope this helped :)

Cooperation and competition among ocean animals is very common. One example of competition is two sharks fighting for the same fish.
one example of competition in the artic is between polar bears and the artic wolf. both compete against each other for same source of food, which tend to be other animals you could also mention intraspecific competition between producers, for example in winter months when sunlight is scarce grass will compete for sunlight
Competition among the animals IS for survival
Animals need competition in their environment in order to have evolution take place. Competition is one factor that helps evolution weed out the weaker animals.
Footraces between humans are an excellent example of competition.
Animals have to compete, or vie, for grass in order to feed. They have to 'stand their ground' ( no pun intnded) to make sure that they are able to eat grass, especially in areas where grasslands are not plentiful. If there are vast grasslands, animals do not need to compete. Carnivorous animals that eat those animals that eat grass also vie for hunting 'rights'.
An example of competition is a group of squirrels eating a colony of beetles!!!! An example of competition is a red fox eating a squirrle.

The textile industry is probably the closest example to pure competition on Earth.
Humans and animals
Intraspecific competition is when animals or plants compete with a member of the same species.
