Female rabbits are pregnant for only a month before they give birth but usually you would give them a rest between birth and conception especially if you are raising the young. I would say a safe number for a pair to reproduce in a year would be 3-4 if that.
rabbits can have as many babies as posibble but it is unfair to make them have too many !
rabbits are the most reproductive animals on earth. they breed 100 bunnies a year....each.
Leonardo Fibonacci wrote about recreational mathematics, some of which involved number series such as the Fibonacci series that he is credited with discovering. * * * * * It is said that he was modelling rabbit population when he came up with the sequence that now bears his name. The rules are simple: 1. Rabbits that are one year old are juveniles and do not breed. 2. Each pair of rabbits aged two or more produce a pair of rabbit each year (forever!). 3. No rabbits ever die (what?). The whole process could apply to periods shorter than a year. Year 1: One pair of rabbits aged 0. Year 2: One pair of juvenile rabbits. Year 3: One pair of mature rabbits + One pair offspring aged 0 = 2 pairs Year 4: One pair mature + One pair offspring age 0 + One pair juvenile = 3 pairs Year 5: Two pair mature + One pair offspring age 0 + One pair juvenile + one pair offspring age 0 (from the newly mature) = 5 and so on. This model is a pretty poor descriptor for a rabbit population so I suspect it is not true. But makes an interesting exercise for young minds.
Month #1 - After one month, the two rabbits have mated but have not given birth. Therefore, there is still only one pair of rabbits. Month #2 - After two months, the first pair of rabbits gives birth to another pair, making two pair in all. Month #3 - After three months, the original pair gives birth again, and the second pair mate, but do not give birth. This makes three pair. Month #4 - After four months, the original pair give birth, and the pair born in month #2 give birth. The pair born in month #3 mate, but do not give birth. This makes two new pair, for a total of five pair. Month #5 - After five months, every pair that was alive two months ago gives birth. This makes three new pair, for a total of eight. Fibonacci was a Mathematician. His famous quote is, "A man has one pair of rabbits at a certain place entirely surrounded by a wall. We wish to know how many pairs will be bred from it in one year, if the nature of these rabbits is such that they breed every month one other pair and begin to breed in the second month after their birth.'
Rabbits typically have 3 to 4 litters per year.
Fibonacci was a famous mathematician who lived around the turn of the 13th century. He is known for a sequence where each number is the sum of the two preceding it. He presented it as the total number of pairs rabbits in a population after a given number of time periods. For mathemetical simplicity, he assumed that each pair of rabbits had to be 1 year old before they could breed, gave birth to a pair and lived for another year before dying. The sequence goes 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,... and is found in many natural obects (though not rabbit populations!).
seventy rabbits
In the first year, the original pair produces 6 offspring. In the second year, those 6 offspring each produce 6 more offspring (36 total). This pattern continues, so in 5 years, the total offspring produced would be 186.
Rabbits can reproduce multiple times a year, typically around 3 to 4 times annually.
The number of rabbits per year for one rabbit = 3 x 4/12 = 9For three rabbits = 3 x 9 =27 rabbit
Rabbits can breed multiple times throughout the year, with some breeds able to breed every 30 days.
