Sperm is a single cell (or rather half of a cell). All cells are the same size. Just because it is a whale, doesn't mean that it's sperm is bigger than (lets say) a human's. Once the whale's egg is fertilised it multiplies exactly the same way as a human - but it just forms a larger baby!
