They like what they like. If they are happy with themselves, then they can pull it off. It's a misconception that all Asians are the same skin color. Some can be fairly brown-skinned, others yellow-skinned while some look slightly tanned and those are usually the ones that can pull off the blond. I live close to Vancouver, B.C., and there are a lot of Asian people living here and I have several Asian friends. I find that most of the women (even some of the men) go for the red streaking instead of the blond and it looks great!

This stereotype was presumably started because Asians, as a trait passed down through generations, are naturally very serious, but that doesn't instantly make someone smart.
