This is an oldie; goes back at least 60 years. Usually done with a 3 by 5-inch index card, but anything about that size will do.
Using a ruler, draw the letter H so the sides and the ends of the sides are one-eighth inch from the edges of the card. Every quarter inch along the middle line of the H, draw a line perpendicular to that one reaching both ways to an eighth of an inch from the edges. Draw lines from the edges into the middle of the spaces between these lines, stopping an eighth of an inch from the center line.
Now carefully cut through the card or sticky note along the lines and gently stretch the resulting piece of paper out, enlarging the hole made by this process. It can be made large enough to pass over your head and step through.

If you are you should make something to cover the answers up. For example a sticky note. Say you have the problem 8+9=. put the sticky note on the answer so you can't see it. Say your answer, then remove the sticky note and see if you got it right. PS: This strategy works on all subjects.
