I have done this many times.I have a cage (fairly large) that I put a litter pan and toys and a small towel hammock.Put it in a location that the kitty can see and hear you and your daily activity.Talk to it and spend time hanging around the cage talking in a soothing manner.Slowly begin to try to interact with a toy.Take the kitty out a few times a day and hold it.(sometimes you need a good glove for this!) Dont use the glove to long or it will scare the kitty. I have found it does not take long for them to enjoy the love and companionship over their fear.It generally takes me about 3-4 weeks for total trust.Be PATIENT!! You will be rewarded with alot of love. Good luck!!
Jessica worked every day with the young feral cat, attempting to domesticate it so that it could become a pet.
