You can try calling and visiting local animal shelters. Many, many purebred animals of all different breeds end up in shelters. There's the AC&C (Animal Care and Control), the ASPCA or RSPCA, the Humane Society, Bide-A-Wee, and others too.
The AC&C is where all the other "no-kill" animal shelters send the pets they can't find homes for, and if the AC&C can't find homes for them, they are destroyed. Which means that the AC&C in particular has a very high turnover rate. If you can't find a sphynx cat the day you go in, just go back a few days later and they will have a completely new set of cats to look at.
You can find a free Sphynx cat for adoption at local animal shelters, rescue organizations, or online adoption websites. It's important to research and ensure the cat's well-being before adopting.
