advertise them in pet stores or online, ask friends and family, neighbours etc or contact a cat rescue centre
If you check through the classifieds section of your local paper there are usually kittens for sale. However you could also visit your local animal shelter and offer a home to an abandoned kitten or cat.
There are an estimated 3 to 4 million cats and dogs that are euthanized in the UK each year. Sadly, many of these animals are healthy, but unwanted.
Try your county animal shelter.
Take them to the animal shelter.
Don't count on the mother coming back. She could be dead, for all you know. Even if she's not, they don't necessarily go looking for their missing kittens. Even when they do, they don't necessarily find them, and will stop looking fairly soon. It's not like a human mother, who will spend the rest of her life looking for her missing child. They're animals; they don't have the same emotional bonds with their children as humans do. Consider the kitten abandoned, and either adopt it yourself, or look for people to adopt it. You can also take the kitten to an animal shelter, but it could be euthanized if you do this. Kittens normally have a much better chance of being adopted than adult cats, especially really cute, young kittens. However, kittens do end up euthanized all too often. Even if you take it to a no-kill shelter, it may not be safe. The dirty little secret of "no-kill shelters" is that they often send their animals to kill shelters (like Animal Care & Control) if they cannot find homes for them. Taking the kitten to a no-kill shelter may buy it some time, but if it's not adopted, it'll probably end up at a kill shelter. If you choose to find someone to adopt the kitten on your own, then take the kitten to the vet for its first checkup and vaccinations. If you can possibly afford it, please do this. People are far, FAR more willing to adopt animals that are certified to be healthy and are up-to-date on all their vaccinations.
There is a surplus population of cats and dogs. No one is willing to take care of them, so to keep them from running wild in human-populated areas (which can be a health hazard because of diseases like rabies), they are euthanized. This is considered the most painless way to end their lives. You can do your part to prevent euthanization by spaying or neutering your pets, and by adopting from shelters like the Humane Society instead of purchasing your pet from breeders.
post a ad on the web or in papers for free cats, keep them yourself, surrender them to a animal shelter, or euthanasia. Because they are older chances are if you bring them to a animal shelter they will be euthanized either way.
at the animal shelter or a pet shop

There is no official record of how many animals are euthanized in Louisiana each year. Animals may be euthanized by veterinarians, animal shelter workers, and zoologists. It is estimated that millions of animals are euthanized in the United States each year.
